Alongside CUHC, Cambridge is also home to the vibrant and incredibly popular college hockey scene. Every year, around 40 teams compete in the Oliver Wyman College Leagues and the JMAN Group Cuppers Competitions.
CUHC players typically represent their college as well, although Blues players are not allowed to play in league fixtures. College hockey is great fun and generally demands less time commitment than one of the CUHC teams. Standards range from very experienced school or club players, to complete beginners, often within the same team!
Alongside the college leagues, CUHC runs the College Academy, typically on Saturday afternoons. The Academy consists of regular training sessions run by CUHC players to provide the opportunity for college players to play some more hockey and develop their skills further. Players who miss out on a place in one of the university teams are encouraged to attend to continue to improve, and potentially get noticed for CUHC selection in future. Should you have any queries about college hockey, or want to get in touch with your college captain, send an email to our : Ally Macdonald (men’s leagues) or Olivia Dadge (women’s leagues).
Both the Men’s and Women’s College Leagues are generously supported by Oliver Wyman, while the cuppers competitions are backed by The JMAN Group.
